Elton

This year I have taken on the task of recording the MIs at Elton in Cambridgeshire. It is a huge task. Ultimately the results will be lodged with the Peterborough Family History Society and a copy presented to the church.

I have visited before and taken photos of the newer section of the churchyard but, today, I started on the old section from the very East. I have located a plot map so the first task is to check and revise it. As you can imagine, a lot have changed in the years (more than 22) since it was surveyed. Erosion has caused the usual problem of illegible monuments.
